How to Convert an Array to a Collection object

This examples shows how to convert an array of strings to a List collection object.
In order to convert the array we use the Arrays class and call its static method asList() to which we pass the array of strings.
We may use genereics here and declare a List with elements of type String. Finally we use an Iterator object to loop through the collection and print out each element in it.

package com.javadb.examples;

import java.util.Arrays;
import java.util.List;
import java.util.Iterator;

public class Main {

    public static void main(String[] args) {

        String[] array = {"Programming", "is", "fun"};
        List<String> list = Arrays.asList(array);

        Iterator<String> iterator = list.iterator();
        while (iterator.hasNext()) {
            System.out.println(iterator.next());
        }
    }
}

The output from the above code will be:

Programming
is
fun
